This c. 1937 postcard has no caption. It shows keeper Babcock sitting front and center amongst more than 42 women. It was unusual to have such a large number of guests on the island and further remarkable for them to be all women. Although it was made into a postcard, no reference to the event could be found. On Sunday, June 5, 1938, many guests attended a gathering at Little Brewster. There are as many as 10 assembled by the flagpole, with another 10 or more at the top of the tower. Seven are on the rocks to the right by the oil house. (Courtesy of the Gatcomb family.)
